The hello designer tour award for excellent minds, concepts, and design from the Euregio Meuse-Rhine.
hello designer tour is an across the border design month which endures the month of October and includes the whole area of Euroregion Meuse-Rhine (DE/NL/BE). We offer the opportunity to designers an creative minds to stand out, show what they’ve got and to connect to a wide range of audience all over the region. Make friends, make fans, get famous!
It is up to each participating creative or location to choose wether they open their workspace spontaneously for, e.g., an after hour beer session, to plan special exhibitions, cross genre events or other concepts. Just inform us to make sure that your event date will be listed on our international platforms such as website, Facebook or Instagram.
Review
During the previous 2 years we gathered more than 300 events and cooperated with numerous local networks, agencies, universities and single players in creative economy. See the 2016 and 2017 archives for an overview.
The Award
We are very proud to announce the HELLO DESIGNER TOUR AWARD for the first time in 2018. With this award we honor creative and passionate people and their work in all three countries (DE, NL, BE) in the three following categories: NEWCOMER, PROFESSIONAL, BEST EVENT.
Requirements to participate: You and your event have to be a listed part of hello designer tour. Don’t know where to start? Read our Participation Guide on how to be part of hello designer tour in 3 steps.
It would be really, really kind of you to write an text in (bad) English for the invitation. Just to make sure no one’s left behind caused by language barriers. Make new friends all over the Euroregion, it’s just that simple by using English as our little common denominator.

The Award Show
More than 350 guest of politics, economies, design, art and journalism will attend the award show on 9th November in the digitalHub, Aachen. Be part of this brilliant night an celebrate the creative potential of the Euregio Meuse-Rhine. Terms of Participation
- You (and your team) are part of hello designer tour with your own event during the month of October 2018.
- You told us about your event before it started via hi@hellodesignertour.eu or via PM on Facebook (facebook.com/hellodesignertour). Sent us a brief text about you, your event and at least 3-5 pictures of your event till 2nd November (8 a.m) to award@hellodesignertour.eu.
- You only can send one application for one event and in only one category.
- The winners will be announced during our Award Show in the digitalhub on 9th November. All nominees will be invited to the ceremony till 5th of November via E-Mail. All others will be given a warm welcome at our Award Aftershow Party, beginning at 20.30 at digitalHub.
- All judges of our jury are free in making their decision on the winners. It’s not possible to submit a decision contestation at any time.
- All winners will be published on our website www.hellodesginertour.eu and we are free to use all submitted texts and photos. Furthermore all photos that are taken during the hello designer tour award show can be published without your explicit approval.
